About Europe banknotes

Before the euro, almost every European country had its own currency, and many changed several times through wars, revolutions and inflations. Since 2002 the euro has replaced francs, marks, lire, pesetas, guilders and many more, which has made pre-euro notes a popular collecting theme. Some countries, including Hungary, Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic, still use their own money.
