Are your banknotes genuine?

Yes. Everything we sell is original, issued paper money, not reproductions or copies, and we guarantee the authenticity of every item. We are members of the International Banknote Society (IBS). Notes that were never official government issues, such as fantasy notes, are kept separate in our Fantasy Banknotes collection.

How do you grade your banknotes?

We grade according to the grading standards of the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money (the Pick catalogue) and Paper Money of the United States. Every listing states its grade in the title. UNC (Uncirculated): crisp, no folds or handling marks. AUNC (About Uncirculated): looks new but has a light handling mark or a single soft bend. XF (Extremely Fine): still bright and crisp with up to a few light folds. VF (Very Fine): clear signs of circulation such as several folds and minor edge wear, but fully intact. F (Fine): well circulated and softer, with all design details visible. Notes graded by PMG (Paper Money Guaranty) come sealed in the PMG holder with the grade on the label.

Will I receive the exact note in the photos?

For notes we hold several of, the serial number and small wear details will differ from the photographed example, but the grade and overall quality are the same as described.

What is the Extreme Index?

The Extreme Index is our own 0–10 collector score shown on every banknote. It combines a note’s history and drama, scarcity, wow factor, age and condition, so you can quickly spot the most remarkable pieces. It is not a valuation. Read how the Extreme Index works.

Where do you ship from and how much does shipping cost?

We are based in Szeged, Hungary, and ship worldwide. Shipping within Hungary costs $3.99. Standard tracked shipping to the United States, the UK, Canada, Australia and most of Europe costs $8.95, and express courier delivery is available at checkout. Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

We dispatch orders within 1–2 business days. Delivery within Hungary usually takes 1–4 days; international orders usually arrive within 5–15 business days, depending on the destination and local postal services. You will receive tracking details by email.

Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes?

United States: no. Every order to the US ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): we prepay customs duties and import taxes, so there are no extra fees on delivery. European Union: no customs, as orders ship from Hungary within the EU. Other countries: local import duties or taxes may apply and are paid by the buyer.

Can I return a banknote?

Yes. We offer 30-day returns for every customer, for any reason. Let us know within 30 days of delivery, then send the note back within 14 days in the same condition, in secure packaging. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, unless the item is faulty or not as described, in which case we cover it. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the return. Why hasn’t my tracking updated?

Some postal services update tracking only every few days, especially when a parcel crosses borders, so your parcel is usually further along than it looks. If the tracking has not moved for a long time, email us and we will check it for you.

I entered a wrong shipping address. What can I do?

Email us as soon as possible and we will try to correct it before dispatch. If a parcel comes back to us because of an incorrect address, we can reship it to the correct address for the cost of the new postage.

Can you find a specific banknote for me?

Yes. If you are looking for a particular note, country or variety, email us and we will do our best to source it for you.
