About Transnistria banknotes

Transnistria broke away from Moldova in 1990–1992 and is not recognised by any UN member state, yet it issues its own rouble through the Transnistrian Republican Bank. Notes honour the general Alexander Suvorov, who founded the city of Tiraspol, and in 2014 the bank even introduced plastic coins.
