About Singapore banknotes

Singapore introduced its own dollar in 1967, two years after independence. The Board of Commissioners of Currency issued themed series: Orchids (1967), Birds (1976), Ships (1984) and the Portrait series with President Yusof Ishak (1999). The Singapore dollar is interchangeable at par with the Brunei dollar.
