Героям слава!" (Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!) to its banknotes as it replaces worn notes, starting with the 500 and 1,000 hryvnia and then the 50. The 20 hryvnia followed on 21 August 2025. Apart from the slogan and the new date, the design and security features match the 2018 note, and it is a regular circulation note, legal tender alongside the older ones. The portrait is Ivan Franko (1856–1916), one of Ukraine's greatest writers, poets and thinkers, with lines from one of his poems beside him.

🎨 Design Details:
Front: portrait of Ivan Franko with a mountain landscape and a handwritten excerpt of his poem, the denomination 20 and the trident.
