Her book The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, about a boy who flies across Sweden on the back of a goose, is pictured on the reverse. This smaller 20 Kronor type was issued from 1997 to 2008; the first digit of the serial gives the year, and the signatures of Johan Gernandt and Stefan Ingves confirm this note as 2007 (P-63c). It was withdrawn when Sweden replaced its banknote series and was demonetised on 30 June 2016.

🎨 Design Details:
Obverse: portrait of Selma Lagerlöf in a broad hat, a horse-drawn carriage from Gösta Berling's Saga and a handwritten extract from the novel.
Reverse: Nils Holgersson riding the goose Mårten with a flock of wild geese over the patchwork fields of Skåne, and the words TJUGO KRONOR.

🔍 Numismatic Features:

Size: 120 × 66 mm

Material: Paper

Type: Standard circulation banknote

Currency: Swedish krona

Country: Sweden

Issuing Authority: Sveriges Riksbank

Date: 2007

Signatures: Johan Gernandt and Stefan Ingves

✅ Condition Guide:
VF (Very Fine) / Circulated. Shows clear signs of circulation, such as several folds, minor edge wear and some loss of crispness, while remaining fully intact with clear design details.
