It honours Frans Hals (c. 1582–1666), the Haarlem master of the Dutch Golden Age known for his lively, loose-brushed portraits. The note circulated for three decades until it was replaced in 1997, and all guilder notes lost legal-tender status when the euro arrived in 2002. Variety P-91b has a plain bullseye without the letter “O” on the back, as noted on the PMG label.

🎨 Design Details:
The obverse shows Frans Hals in his broad-brimmed hat in deep blue and violet, with a large “10”, the signatures of the secretary and president and three raised dots for the visually impaired.
