The portrait is Sir Moilin Jean Ah-Chuen (1911–1991), born in Meizhou, China, who became the first Chinese member of the Legislative Council in 1963 and the first Chinese Cabinet Minister (1967–1976). He founded the ABC Group, which grew from a small shop in Port Louis into one of the island's large businesses, and was knighted in 1980. The dodo, which lived only on Mauritius and died out in the 17th century, has become the national symbol.

🎨 Design Details:
Front: portrait of Sir Moilin Jean Ah-Chuen with the Mauritius coat of arms, a building façade, Lady Justice with scales, and the dodo in a transparent window; text in English, Tamil and Hindi.
