This variety, with series numbers from B13195, carries the signatures of Ernane Galvêas and Carlos Geraldo Langoni and was printed from 1980. Soon afterwards Brazil's inflation accelerated sharply, and the cruzeiro was replaced by the cruzado in 1986. The building on the back is the Caixa de Amortização, the historic home of Brazil's public debt office in Rio de Janeiro.

🎨 Design Details:
Front: The effigy of the Republic in profile inside a circle, with the Banco Central do Brasil legend and the signatures of the Monetary Council and Central Bank presidents.
Back: A medallion with the Caixa de Amortização building in Rio de Janeiro.

🔍 Numismatic Features:

Size: 147 × 66 mm

Material: Paper

Type: Circulating banknote

Currency: Brazilian cruzeiro

Country: Brazil

Issuing Authority: Banco Central do Brasil

Date: ND (1980)

Printer: Casa da Moeda do Brasil

Signatures: Ernane Galvêas and Carlos Geraldo Langoni

✅ Condition Guide:
UNC (Uncirculated). A crisp, uncirculated note with no folds, creases or handling marks, retaining its original sheen and sharp corners.
